Legendary boxing coach Freddie Roach will be in former UFC Welterweight Champion George St-Pierre’s corner in his next fight.
On Thursday, Roach appeared on The MMA Hour and revealed he will be in St-Pierre’s corner when he fights UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping.
St-Pierre has not fought in four years. He temporarily left the UFC following his ninth consecutive title defense back in 2013.
Bisping will be making his second title defense against St-Pierre. The UFC champion has been out of action since October with a lingering knee injury.
St-Pierre will fight Bisping in the main event of UFC 217, which will take place Nov. 4 in New York City. This will be the second UFC event to take place at the historic Madison Square Garden.
