ONE Championship has officially announced their main event for their event on Sept. 16.
Former ONE Flyweight Champion Kairat Akhmetov will fight Geje Eustaquio in the main event of ONE Championship: Total Victory.
The event will take place at the Jakarta Convention Center in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Akhmetov lost his title earlier this month and suffered the first loss of his career when he was defeated by ONE Flyweight Champion Adriano Moraes.
“Eustaquio is one of the best competitors in the division and a victory over him will mean a lot,” Akhmetov said in a press release. “I have one goal, and that is to get back my title. I will take care of anyone who stands in my way.”
Eustaquio showed respect for his upcoming opponent as well.
“Akhmetov is a world-class martial artist and I can’t wait to test my skills against him,” Eustaquio said in the press release. “When the cage door closes, it’s time for battle. I will make sure to come well prepared.”
