With less than a month before UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor makes his professional boxing debut, one of his sparring partners has left his camp.
Former boxing champion Paulie Malignaggi traveled to Las Vegas to help McGregor train for his upcoming boxing match.
This week, photos from McGregor’s camp were released showing the UFC champion landing offense on Malignaggi, who also appeared to have taken damage.
Malignaggi was upset about the photos and decided to leave McGregor’s camp. Malignaggi says he actually got the better of McGregor while sparring, and it was unethical of McGregor’s camp to release the photos.
On Friday, McGregor made his first public comment since Malignaggi left his camp.
“Another day in paradise,” McGregor wrote on his Instagram page along with a photo of him inside a boxing ring.
On Aug. 26, McGregor will make his professional boxing debut against Floyd “Money” Mayweather at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
