UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor faced off against Floyd Mayweather Jr. last night in one of the year’s most highly anticipated main events. However, McGregor suffered a TKO loss to his opponent. After the fight, former UFC heavyweight Roy Nelson went to social media to congratulate the undefeated boxing legend on his performance. Then, the fighter casually referenced an upcoming UFC fight for MMA veteran Nate Diaz.
Over Twitter, Nelson stated “Congrats TBE @floydmayweather great fight & @natediaz209 & his upcoming fight N the @ufc #bellyrub #bcnation #bigcountrynation #roynelsonmma.”
When a fan followed up on Nelson’s message and asked who Nate Diaz may be facing in the near future, Nelson revealed that it is Diaz’s rival Conor “Notorious” McGregor himself.
“He will be against @TheNotoriousMMA soon,” Roy Nelson stated.
