Jim Ross Believes Jones Posturing For Lesnar Match In The WWE, Not The UFC

The potential heavyweight fight between UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar may not take place in the Octagon.

On his blog, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross suggested that a match between Jones and Lesnar could take place in the WWE.

“Ironically, word on the street is that Jones is also interested in a WWE payday some day in the future which adds some irony to the Bones-Brock UFC scenario,” Ross wrote.

A wrestling match between Jones and Lesnar could be easier to make happen than an MMA fight.

Lesnar is currently suspended from the sport of MMA. Lesnar must undergo at least six months of drug testing from the U.S Anti-Doping Agency in order to be cleared for competition.

Both the WWE and UFC have proven that they are willing to work together, and either company would be likely to allow the other to borrow some of their athletes.
