According to his manager, UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones is the highest paid fighter on the UFC roster.
Jones’ manager, Malki Kawa, talked about Jones’ compensation in the UFC while appearing on a recent edition of The MMA Hour.
“A lot, he will make a lot. He makes a lot already as it is. People see all that stuff that gets reported on the internet,” Kawa said. “I’ve been telling you guys for a long time, Jon is the highest paid guy in the UFC, aside from pay-per-view, just on the base guarantees, and I guess people never really believe, so I just let you guys believe what you want to. The pay-per-view stuff is just extra.”
Kawa talked about Jones’ compensation when talking about the potential amount of pay-per-view buys UFC 214 produced.
Last Saturday, at UFC 214, Jones won the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship after knocking out Daniel Cormier in the third round.
