Jon Jones has been receiving a lot of hateful messages on social media.
Many UFC fans are upset with the UFC light heavyweight champion for failing another drug test.
However, some fans don’t send their hateful messages to the right person.
Many people have made the mistake of sending their angry messages to the Twitter handle @jonjones, which belongs to an author and self-proclaimed “tech geek”.
On Wednesday, Jones shared a screen shot of some of the hateful direct messages he received on Twitter. Instead of being upset by the messages, he often plays along.
In the photo below, you can see Jones go back-and-forth with a UFC fan until he finally realized he isn’t talking to the UFC champion.
“Oh (expletive) u just a white dude my bad (expletive) lmao,” the fan said after realizing his mistake.
On Tuesday, it was revealed the UFC champion, whose Twitter handle is @JonnyBones, tested positive for a banned substance from an in-competition drug test given to him prior to his fight with Daniel Cormier at UFC 214.
