Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight top contenders Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov have been attempting to settle their differences inside the octagon for some time now. The two were set to face off in the night’s co-main event for UFC 209 earlier this year. However, “The Eagle” was rushed to a hospital after suffering weight management issues. Now, it would appear that the fighters may have actually agreed on a new fight date.
Over Twitter, Tony Ferguson revealed that UFC 217 sounds good to him. “MSG Sounds Nice To Me. Get Ready For An Ass Whoopin’ @TeamKhabib #TonyFergusonMMA #SnapDownCity” He said.
Khabib Nurmagomedov quickly responded, “Let’s go @ufc.”
UFC 217 goes down Nov. 4 inside the Madison Square Garden Arena in New York.
