Even though he left the American Kickboxing Academy (AKA) for his next training camp, former UFC Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold is still training with elite level fighters.
On Saturday, Rockhold shared a photo of himself and his teammates after a training session.
In the photo below, you can see Rockhold with some of his new training partners, including UFC heavyweight Stefan Struve.
Both Rockhold and Struve will headline UFC Fight Night events in September.
On September 2, Struve will fight Alexander Volkov in the main event in Rotterdam.
Struve is the only fighter in the UFC to have knocked out current UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic inside the Octagon. He is currently on a two-fight win streak. He is coming off a submission win over Daniel Omielańczuk and a knockout win over Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva.
Rockhold will fight David Branch on Sept. 16 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Rockhold has not fought since losing his title in June 2016. At UFC 199, Rockhold lost his championship after getting knocked out by UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping.
