Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier was dealt a difficult loss in the main event of UFC 214. The fighter faced off against heated rival Jon “Bones” Jones for an intense title fight grudge rematch. In the end, Jon Jones earned a knockout victory over his opponent.
Following the defeat, Daniel Cormier broke down into tears, distraught from his title losing defeat. Now, training camp teammate Luke Rockhold has provided an update on the fighter’s well being.
In an interview on The MMA Hour, Luke Rockhold said “He’s sulking a bit, but his spirits are coming back.” The fighter then explained that things are not over for Daniel Cormier. “He’s got a bright future with anything he wants to do. Cormier is a sharp guy with a lot of things going on.” Rockhold stated.
