Another historic night of boxing is now in the books. And, it would appear that the weekend’s huge main event may have had unexpected effects for one of the night’s headliners.
On Saturday night, UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor faced off against undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. for his boxing debut. While the fight did not go “Notorious’s” way, it would appear that the performance has helped the fighter in other ways.
Besides offering a considerably large payday, Conor McGregor now has over 19 million followers on Instagram. In just 24 hours, the fighter has gained 1 million followers on the social media service.
Having suffered a TKO loss to Mayweather Jr., Conor McGregor is now going back to the drawing board to determine what is next for his career.
