Former UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo says his wife could easily defeat former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey in a fight.
During a recent interview, Aldo was talking about his wife’s skills in jiu-jitsu and other combat sports. When asked if his wife could take Rousey in a fight, Aldo said his wife could easily win.
However, Aldo’s wife will not compete in the sport of MMA due to being pregnant.
Aldo’s wife, Vivianne Pereira, not be confused with UFC strawweight Viviane Pereira, has experience competing in jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai.
Regardless of whether or not Aldo’s wife would ever compete in MMA, it appears Rousey’s MMA career may be over. Since losing her last fight, Rousey has shown no interest in making a return to the Octagon.
Rousey is currently on a two-fight losing streak. In her last, and only, two losses, Rousey was knocked out by Holly Holm and UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes.
