In Aug. 2014, UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier predicted the finish to their fight on Saturday night.
At UFC 214, Jones regained the UFC title after he knocked out Cormier. In the third round, Jones landed a head kick that led to Jones getting the knockout win.
The first time Jones and Cormier were scheduled to fight was at UFC 178 in Sept. 2014. One month prior to the fight, Jones and Cormier discussed what would happen in their fight. Jones mentioned that Cormier had a bad tendency during fights, and Cormier openly said what it was.
“Don’t think you’re going to kick me in the head with your left leg,” Cormier said. “Do not think you’re going to kick me in the head with the left foot.”
On Monday, Jones reacted to the video reminding himself of what he said three years ago.
“Wow that was a pretty interesting,” Jones said on Twitter responding to the video, which can be seen below.
