UFC star Nate Diaz has actually defended UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor when it comes to boxers talking trash about him.
In just over a week, McGregor will make his professional boxing debut against boxing legend Floyd “Money” Mayweather.
In a recent interview, Diaz talked about all the boxers who are saying it’s going to be embarrassing watching Conor lose to Mayweather in their upcoming boxing match.
“You want to know what’s embarrassing? If Floyd fought Connor in an MMA match, it would be more embarrassing than if Conor fought Floyd in a boxing match,” Diaz said.
Diaz went on to say that Mayweather would get pounded and laughed at during an MMA fight, while McGregor smiled and waved to the crowd.
Diaz later sent out another message to boxers who think MMA fighters can’t compete with them in the ring.
“We’re talking real fighters now, you one-dimensional boxing (expletives),” Diaz said. “This is real life (expletive). You will get embarrassed.”
Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
