UFC super-star Nate Diaz has been keeping fight fans anxiously awaiting his return to action, and it looks like it might have been worth the wait.
The last time we saw Nate in the cage he picked up a controversial majority (not unanimous) decision loss to Conor McGregor… And that was over a year ago.
Nate’s been patiently waiting for Conor to live up to his word and give him that promised trilogy fight. In doing so, Nate will also likely get a shot at the UFC lightweight title in the process.
The buzz ever since Conor’s last fight is that these two will indeed meet before the year is out.
Though Nate has remained silent on the subject, Conor McGregor and his team have publicly stated that they want the Diaz fight.
Conor and Nate both hold the UFC’s #1 and #2 pay-per-views of all-time. They broke the buy record when they fought the first time, and broke that record in the rematch.
With Conor coming off his latest pay-per-view record breaking numbers, the trilogy is the UFC’s logical choice to bring in pay-per-view dollars during a struggling 2017.
Usually active on social media Nate has started the war of words, and hit infamous McGregor teammate Dillon Danis with a comment attack.
