Former UFC title challenger Chael Sonnen and retired UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub have made a bet on this weekend’s boxing match.
Floyd “Money” Mayweather will fight UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor in a boxing match on Saturday night.
On Wednesday, Sonnen sent Schaub at tweet saying he will bet him $100,000 on the fight.
“I’ve chosen to relieve (Brendan Schaub) of one month’s hair-gel $, which in his case = $100,0000,” Sonnen said in a tweet direct at Schaub.
“Cash. Money. Mr. Sonnen. Game on,” Shaub responded to Sonnen.
Schaub is confident that McGregor will be successful in his professional boxing debut. The retired MMA fighter has said on numerous occasions that he is willing to bet on McGregor having success against Mayweather. Schaub also believes McGregor may pull off the upset.
Sonnen, like many other people, doubt McGregor will do much against Mayweather and has decided to actually bet Schaub a large sum of money on the outcome of the fight.
Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
