Team Jones Cries Conspiracy, Say Jon Is Being Set Up, Following Latest Drug Test Failure

One of UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones’ teammates believes there is a conspiracy against his Jones.

On Tuesday, it was revealed Jones had failed another drug test given to him by the U.S Anti-Doping Agency. Jones failed test came from a sample taken the day before he fought Daniel Cormier for the title at UFC 214.

Jones’ teammate, Frank Lester, says he was next to Jones when he got the news of the failed drug test. Lester believes Jones was set up and there is no way he would have taken a performance-enhancing drug.

“Supposedly the story is between weigh ins and fight night he took a oral steroid. Which makes zero sense since it wouldn’t do anything at all for Jon to do so. It takes weeks for steroids to build up in your system to be a performance enhancer. Jon was devastated to say the least,” Lester wrote on his Facebook page.

“This is a set up, straight up, no athlete would test clean his entire fight camp, and then randomly take some cheap (expletive) oral steroid betweens weigh ins and fight night knowing he would be tested once he got done fighting.

“This is a straight set up. They are trying to ruin this kids life. It makes no sense and Jon wouldn’t do it.”
