Conor McGregor was the more aggressive striker to start the fifth round. Things got heated quickly between the two fighters as the kept getting tangled together. McGregor landed more strikes throughout the first half of the round. The referee was forced to separate the fighters throughout the round. When they were separated, McGregor would be the first to land. McGregor did well at avoiding Mayweather’s shots, but eventually, Mayweather began landing some clean punches to the head and body.
