On Saturday, middleweight prospect Sam Alvey earned the biggest win of his UFC career.
At a UFC Fight Night in Mexico City, Alvey won a split decision against former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans.
Both fighters struggled to land their offense throughout the fight. Evans had more success with grappling, while Alvey landed more strikes.
In the end, two of the three judges believed Alvey had done enough to earn the decision win.
Evans has struggled since moving down to the middleweight division. Evans has lost both of his UFC fights at 185 pounds. Overall, Evans has lost his last four fights in the UFC.
