UFC Adds Three New Fights To Upcoming Events

The UFC has added three new fights to their schedule in 2017.

On short notice, featherweight Mike Santiago will fight Zabit Magomedsharipov at Saturday’s UFC Fight Night in Rotterdam.

Last week, Santiago was victorious on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. Despite earning a TKO victory, Santiago was not given a UFC contract. However, an injury to Nick Hein has resulted in Santiago getting an opportunity on MMA’s biggest stage.

The UFC has also added two middleweight fights that will take place in December.

On Dec. 1, at The Ultimate Fighter Finale, Ryan Janes will fight Andrew Sanchez.

After losing his last two UFC fights, Janes may be fighting for his spot on the UFC roster.

Sanchez is currently coming off a knockout loss to Anthony Smith back in April.

Lastly, a middleweight battle between Vitor Miranda and Julian Marquez has been added to the next UFC on FOX event on Dec. 16.

Miranda is on a two-fight losing streak in the UFC. He is coming off decision losses to Marvin Vettori and Chris Camozzi.

Marquez will be fighting in his first official UFC fight. In his last fight, he knocked out Phil Hawes on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series and earned a UFC contract.
