The UFC has added two more bouts to its upcoming Fight Night event in Japan.
Two of the best Japanese fighters in the UFC will be on display when both Teruto Ishihara and Mizuto Hirota compete in featherweight bouts.
The last time the UFC was in Japan, Ishihara and Hirota fought to a draw. Now, both fighters will get a chance at redemption in front of their native crowd.
Ishihara is scheduled to fight Rolando Dy, while Hirota will square off against Charles Rosa.
Ishihara is coming off a hard-fought battle against former UFC title challenger Gray Maynard. Despite being on the losing end, Ishihara showed a lot of heart and toughness in his performance.
Dy is coming off a knockout loss to Alex Caceres in his UFC debut back in June.
Hirota is coming off a decision loss to Alexander Volkanovski in June, while Rosa is coming off a knockout loss to Shane Burgos back in April.
This upcoming UFC Fight Night in Japan will be headlined by a rematch between former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Ovince Saint Preux.
UFC Fight Night: Shogun vs. Saint Preux 2 will take place Sept. 23 at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
