The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently elected to add a new series to its UFC Fight Pass streaming service. Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series pits fighters against each other with hopes of finding new contenders for the acclaimed mixed martial arts promotion. For the new series, the UFC picked up UFC Hall of Famer Urijah Faber and hip hop icon Snoop Dogg for the commentating team. It would appear that the promotion’s selection in commentators for the series has not gone over well with all of the UFC’s competitors.
UFC lightweight Al Iaquinta recently took to Twitter to state, “Really wish they’d replace @SnoopDogg on contender series. Guy has no respect or knowledge of the sport or fighters. Constant mockery.”
UFC welterweight Matt Brown took to Twitter to side with Iaquinta on Snoop Dogg’s commentating. “Agreed.” The fighter stated.
