The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) often has to handle with sate wide commissions on a case-by-case basis. As a result, rules and regulations may change from fight to fight. Now, an executive from the mixed martial arts promotion has come forward with their thoughts on the situation.
UFC senior vice president of regulatory affairs Marc Ratner recently took a moment to provide a speech at the Association of Boxing Commissions and Combative Sports (ABC) Conference at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut.
As transcribed by MMA Fighting, Ratner stated “It’s been very tough for us, running around the country and having to talk to each commission and saying, ‘We’re using new rules, we’re not using the rules. It’s actually made a mockery, in a lot of ways, of the sport, which I really, really hate.”
