USADA Confirms Jones Failed Drug Test For German Super Olympian Steroid

The U.S Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has confirmed the substance UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones tested positive for in his latest failed drug test.

On Thursday, Marc Raimondi, of MMA Fighting, said that he was informed by USADA that Jones tested positive for Turinabol.

Turinabol is a steroid that was invented in Germany in the 1960s to help their Olympians gain strength while not testing positive in drug tests.

It was revealed Jones failed another USADA drug test on Tuesday. Jones’ positive test stemmed from a sample taken after the weigh-ins for his fight with Daniel Cormier last month.

At UFC 214, Jones knocked out Cormier and regained his UFC title. As a result of his failed drug test, Jones’ win against Cormier may be overturned and he could be stripped of his UFC title.

If Jones is proven guilty of taking steroids, USADA may suspend him for four months due to this being his second failed test.
