White Takes Mayweather Rematch Off The Table, Wants McGregor Back Fighting MMA ASAP

UFC President Dana White says he’s ready for UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor to return to the sport of MMA.

On Tuesday, White spoke to the media and talked about a potential rematch between McGregor and Floyd “Money” Mayweather, if McGregor is able to pull off the upset.

“What’s the point?” White said. “What’s the point if Conor beats him, to do it again?

“I guess, if that happened, we’d talk about it, but there’s no rematch clause in there. I’m ready for Conor to get back to MMA.”

White went on to give his prediction for the fight between Mayweather and McGregor and says he hopes McGregor gets the win.

“Conor’s going to get in there and rough him up,” White said. “I stopped doubting the kid a long time ago, and I’m hoping for this knockout. I’m hoping for him to knock Floyd out.”

Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
