Winner Of Ferguson vs. Lee Not Next For Conor, Despite Interim Title, Says Dana White

When the UFC puts up an interim title in the absence of a division’s champion, the normal conclusion is that interim belt holder faces the undisputed champion upon returning to the UFC.

Unfortunately though, for Kevin Lee and Tony Ferguson, their fight isn’t locking them into a unification bout with Conor McGregor.

With McGregor embarking on his historic fight against Floyd Mayweather, in just 24-hours, UFC President Dana White confirmed that the Lee vs. Ferguson winner is not guaranteed the next crack at Conor.

For us in the know, Conor McGregor is seriously looking at completing the trilogy match with Nate Diaz. Conor’s star power has now eclipsed the UFC, and with the fighter being able to call his own shots, he’s looking at only the biggest possible fights.

The biggest fight for Conor in the Octogan, is a fight with Nate Diaz, and it looks like they’re going for it.
