There is one highly anticipated boxing match that is sold out in Las Vegas and it’s not Floyd “Money” Mayweather vs. UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.
The boxing match between Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin has officially sold out.
Alvarez will fight Golovkin on Sept. 16, which is three weeks after Mayweather vs. McGregor.
Both highly anticipated boxing matches are taking place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
With just over two weeks before the fight, Mayweather vs. McGregor has struggled to sell out. One major factor to the fight not selling out is its large ticket prices. As of today, the cheapest seat inside the arena costs almost $2,000, which is way more than MMA fans are used to paying to see McGregor fight.
Not only does Mayweather vs. McGregor have a steep ticket price, it will also cost quite a bit to view on pay-per-view. Showtime will be airing the event on pay-per-view for almost $100.
