Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson believes he could beat UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor in a street fight.
Prior to making his professional boxing debut, McGregor had insulted 50 Cent during one of the press conferences to promote his fight with Floyd “Money” Mayweather.
Jackson, who is known for being friends with Mayweather, was asked about McGregor’s comments during an interview on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.
“I was like, dude, this fool didn’t know if he was fighting Floyd or me,” 50 Cent said about McGregor.
50 Cent was later asked if he thought he could take McGregor in a fight.
“In the street? Yeah!” 50 Cent said. “C’mon, he weighs 150 pounds, man!”
Despite being smaller than 50 Cent, McGregor is one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the sport of MMA. He also proved he can compete against the best in the world of boxing during his fight with Mayweather. McGregor landed impressive punches throughout the fight, but in the end, Mayweather earned a TKO victory in the 10th round.
