Another Dated Tweet From Jon Jones About Drug Testing Has Suddenly Gone Viral

Another old tweet from UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones regarding drug testing has gone viral.

Jones is known for having issues when it comes to failing drug tests. Last month, it was revealed Jones failed another drug test given to him by the U.S Anti-Doping Agency (USADA).

Jones most recent failed drug test came from an in-competition sample taken the day before he regained his title. At UFC 214, in July, Jones won the UFC title after knocking out Daniel Cormier.

Prior to his fight at UFC 214, Jones was suspended from the sport of MMA for a year after he failed a drug test in July 2016. Jones claimed his first USADA failed test was due to a sexual male-enhancement pill.

Just a couple months before failing his first USADA drug test, Jones sent out a tweet talking about what USADA has done to UFC fighters.

“Man USADA really did a number on some of these guys,” Jones said in a tweet back in May 2016.

Since USADA has become the official drug-testing partner of the UFC, many high-caliber fighters have failed drug tests and have been suspended from the sport.

With Jones failing a second drug test, the UFC champion is facing many stiff penalties. If Jones is proven guilty of knowingly taking performance-enhancing drugs, he could be suspended for up to four years.

Since Jones failed an in-competition drug test, his win over Daniel Cormier may also be overturned.

Jones may also be stripped of his championship once again. After being suspended last year, Jones was stripped of an interim light heavyweight title. In 2015, Jones was stripped of the UFC light heavyweight title after being involved in a hit-and-run accident.

With Jones failing another drug test, people are beginning to speculate on whether or not he has used PEDs throughout his career. Jones is known as one of the greatest pound-for-pound fighters of all time. Throughout his UFC career, Jones has won 11 title fights and has beaten some of the best fighters in UFC history.
