All cultures have their own set of traditions and unique practices. In Nigeria, there is ‘Dambe’, which is a form of martial art, practiced with only the use of your strongest hand. Instead of traditional boxing, they wear no gloves and only swing with their strongest hand.
That hand is wrapped in tight rope, which at times could have been dipped in resin and shards of glass.
That practice has since been outlawed, but the sport is still incredibly brutal.
The objective is to land a shot that sends your opponent down to the floor, that can be a kick or a punch.
