Former UFC title challenger Chael Sonnen has revealed some new information on UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones’ latest failed drug test.
On a recent episode of his podcast, Sonnen talked about Jones testing positive for steroids. According to Sonnen, the steroid Jones tested positive for, Turinabol, was an illegal substance was not just a banned substance.
“If he was caught in possession of this steroid, he would be placed in handcuffs and placed under arrest,” Sonnen said.
Sonnen went on to say that he believes Jones will be suspended from the suspended from the sport for at least two years. With this being Jones’ second failed drug test, the U.S Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) could suspend Jones for up to four years.
Jones’ failed drug test came from a sample taken the day before he regained his title from Daniel Cormier at UFC 214.
