In the wake of Conor McGregor’s absence from the division, UFC lightweight contenders Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee are set to battle it out for the interim title. The two will face off at UFC 216 on Oct. 7 inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.

Now, Ferguson and Lee have entered another heated exchange ahead of their war for the lightweight interim title.

In the UFC 216 media conference call, Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee can be heard going at it with serious intensity.

Accusing Kevin Lee of using performance enhancing drugs, Tony Ferguson asked his opponent “Are you off the juice?” The fighters complete exchange can be heard in the video below.

Tony Ferguson is riding a nine fight winning streak, including victories over Edson Barboza and former UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos. Ferguson was set to face off against Khabib Nurmagomedov for the interim title at UFC 209, but “The Eagle” was pulled from the fight due to weight management issues.

Now, Kevin Lee will have a shot at the interim title. On a five fight winning streak, Kevin Lee has earned finishes over Michael Chiesa and Francisco Trinaldo in his last two performances inside the octagon.
