Floyd Explains Feeling Sorry For Conor McGregor During Their Fight

Floyd “Money” Mayweather says he is happy the referee stepped in and stopped UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor from taking more damage during their boxing match.

During a recent interview, Mayweather talked about his fight with McGregor. Mayweather was asked if he wished the referee wouldn’t have stepped in and stopped the fight in the 10th round. Mayweather responded by saying it’s good the referee stopped the fight so McGregor wouldn’t suffer any more damage.

“He has a career. He’s still young. We have to think about these fighters,” Mayweather said. “Brain damage, it happens.”

Mayweather went on to talk about his uncle, Roger Mayweather, and used him as an example of a fighter who has suffered from brain damage.

Mayweather defeated McGregor in the 10th round of their fight by TKO. With this win, Mayweather increased his boxing record to a perfect 50-0.
