On Wednesday, the UFC announced Jesse Taylor was flagged by the U.S Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) for a potential anti-doping violation.
Taylor’s failed drug test came from an out-of-competition sample taken in August. However, Taylor’s last opponent, Dhiego Lima, says he feels cheated.
After hearing the news of Taylor testing positive for a banned substance, Lima posted a statement on his Facebook page sharing his thoughts on the situation.
“Cheaters if you need to inject something in your body to help you perform then why do y’all still fight!!!! I feel cheated I nearly work to death for every fight I’m always training I don’t care if I’m hurt, tired, sad, happy I give it 1000% every practice. thank you usada.”
Taylor and Lima fought back in July in the finals of the last season of The Ultimate Fighter. Taylor won the fight by submitting Lima with a rear-naked choke in the second round.
