Jon Jones’ Coach Very Realistic, Believes Jon’s Career Might Be Over

Mike Winkeljohn, one of the coaches for former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones, isn’t sure if Jones will ever return to the UFC.

After failing another drug test given to him by the U.S Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), Jones may receive a suspension for up to four years.

On Wednesday, Winkeljohn appeared on Submission Radio and talked about Jones’ situation.

If Jones is suspended for four years, Winkeljohn isn’t sure if Jones would ever fight in the Octagon again.

However, Winkeljohn doesn’t believe Jones knowingly took a performance-enhancing drug. Winkeljohn thinks Jones’ failed test is due to a tainted supplement.

“I know Jon Jones is not a cheater,” Winkeljohn said.

Jones failed an in-competition drug test stemming from a sample taken the day before he defeated Daniel Cormier at UFC 214. As a result of his failed drug test, Jones has been stripped of his title and his win against Cormier has been overturned to a no-contest.

In the video below, you can listen to Winkeljohn share all his thoughts on Jones’ latest failed drug test.
