UFC megastar Conor McGregor has completed his highly anticipated boxing debut. While the fighter suffered a loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr., Conor McGregor still earned a large sum from his efforts. Now, fight fans are on the edge their seats in anticipation of McGregor’s next move. While “Notorious” has yet to reach a decision, the UFC lightweight champion did recently offer his thoughts on one potential match up with Georges St. Pierre (GSP).
Former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre is set to make his return to the octagon after nearly four years away from the sport. “Rush” is set to take on UFC middleweight champion Michael “The Count” Bisping in the main event of UFC 217 inside the Madison Square Garden Arena in New York on Nov. 4.
Speaking to Caroline Pearce at An Evening with Conor McGregor, as transcribed by MMA Fighting, Conor McGregor broke down the possibility of facing off against Georges St-Pierre.
Here is what Conor McGregor had to say about the potential super-fight against GSP:
“It’s another money fight, even though he’s been retired. I don’t know, I think he’s going to get his assed whooped by Bisping. To be honest I think it’s a mistake for him to step in at that weight after so long out.”
