UFC welterweight prospect “Platinum” Mike Perry says he could knockout UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.
Perry recently did a live Q&A on social media, and while answering questions, someone said Perry couldn’t defeat McGregor in a fight.
“What do y’all be thinking? That he’s some superhero. In the best shape, he’s 155 pounds. If he’s out of shape at 170… Listen, my jab could knock that man out,” Perry said.
“I’m talking (expletive). My jab couldn’t knock him out, but I would knock him out. I’m too big, I’m too strong, and I’m the better grappler. I’d wrestle him to win if I had too.”
In the video below, you can listen to Mike Perry talk about McGregor and many other topics involving his MMA career.
Perry is scheduled to fight UFC newcomer Alex Reyes in the co-main event of a UFC Fight Night on Sept. 16 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Perry was originally scheduled to fight former UFC title challenger Thiago Alves, but three days before the fight, Alves withdrew from the bout. Luckily for Perry, the UFC was able to get him an opponent on short notice.
