UFC welterweight prospect “Platinum” Mike Perry has sent out a message to the fighter who agreed to fight him on just three days notice.
Perry was scheduled to fight former UFC title challenger Thiago Alves in the co-main event of a UFC Fight Night on Saturday night. However, on Wednesday, it was announced Alves was forced to withdraw from the fight.
Even though Alves withdrew from the fight just days before it was scheduled to happen, the UFC was quickly able to find a replacement. UFC newcomer Alex Reyes has stepped in to fight Perry on Saturday.
After learning about his new opponent, Perry sent him a message on Twitter.
“Respect to my new opponent steppin up on 3 days notice. Let’s see what you got Alex Reyes,” Perry said.
Perry vs. Reyes will take place on Sept. 16 at a UFC Fight Night in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Former UFC Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold will fight David Branch in the main event.
