Former boxing champion Paulie Malignaggi has now begun talking trash about UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor’s coaches.
Recently, Malignaggi was sent a video on Twitter of McGregor’s corner talking to him in between rounds. Malignaggi responded to the video by calling McGregor’s coaches cheerleaders.
“Also proves what I said about Conor’s corner just being cheerleaders,” Malignaggi said on Twitter. “Literally not an ounce of worthwhile instruction or info given.”
McGregor’s corner for his professional boxing debut consisted of the same coaches McGregor uses for his MMA fights. The UFC champion’s corner included John Kavanagh, Owen Roddy, and UFC fighter Artem Lobov.
McGregor fought boxing legend Floyd “Money” Mayweather in his first professional boxing match. The Irishman looked good early in the fight and even outstruck Mayweather in the early rounds. But in the end, Mayweather earned a TKO victory in the 10th round.
