UFC heavyweight contender Alexander Volkov got a nasty cut under his left eye following his main event fight last weekend.
Last Saturday, Volkov earned a TKO victory against Stefan Struve in the main event of a UFC Fight Night in the Netherlands. In the third round, Volkov landed multiple devastating punches to Struve against the cage which resulted in the referee stepping in and stopping the fight.
During the fight, Volkov endured a deep cut under his left eye. In the video below, you can watch the UFC heavyweight get stitches.
Volkov is unbeaten in the UFC with three victories. He also has wins over Roy Nelson and Tim Johnson inside the Octagon. Volkov is currently ranked No. 7 in the official UFC heavyweight rankings.
Overall, Volkov is on a five-fight win streak. Outside of the UFC, Volkov’s MMA career is highlighted by winning the Bellator Heavyweight Championship back in 2012.
