Shevchenko Proclaims Herself Champion, ‘That’s my title’ — Demands Rematch

UFC bantamweight contender Valentina Shevchenko faced off against reigning champion Amanda Nunes at last night’s UFC 215 main event in Edmonton, Canada. However, the fight did not go the contender’s way.

After going the distance with the champion, Shevchenko ultimately suffered a split decision loss to her opponent. Now, the fighter has come forward to reveal that she would like another rematch.

As transcribed by MMA Junkie, Shevchenko told reporters after her performance “I want my title, and I’m ready to take one more fight against Amanda because I don’t agree, and I know it was my fight. f I have to fight her next, it will for sure be my victory. It’s difficult to say, because the UFC has to make the decision. But I will ask for the rematch.”
