Before “Notorious” landed a cross-promotional match up against Floyd Mayweather Jr., the fighter was quickly gaining fame within the UFC. However, the UFC champion garnered some infamy with certain fighters and fans during his time on “The Ultimate Fighter.”
During the filming of “The Ultimate Fighter” in 2015, Conor McGregor and Urijah Faber were opposing coaches, but unlike previous seasons, the coaches were not scheduled to square off at the end of the season.
With no fight waiting for him at the end of the show, McGregor took it upon himself to get under the skin of other Team Alpha Male members, most notably Cody Garbrandt. The two of them nearly came to blows when McGregor was making comments about Team Alpha Male’s situation with former member TJ Dillashaw. Both men stood their ground, and the end result is what you see in this video clip.
