The popularity and meteoric rise of the sport of mixed martial arts has been a hard transition for some. After all, the sport is not universally loved. Acclaimed actress Meryl Streep took a shot at MMA earlier this year at the Golden Globes, claiming the sport is not an art.
After the statement, UFC President Dana White came forward to TMZ Sports to offer his opinion on the statement. The UFC president can be seen defending the placement of mixed martial arts as an art form and shooting some heated word towards the elderly actress in the video below.
