On Sept. 10 2016, WWE superstar “CM Punk” Phil Brooks made his UFC debut. The professional wrestler’s debut in mixed martial arts accumulated a mass of attention, as anticipation for the fighter’s octagon competition grew. However, in the end, things did not go so well for the pro-wrestler turned mixed martial artist.
Phil Brooks competed at UFC 203, facing off against Mickey Gall. Brooks suffered a first round submission loss to his opponent by way of a rear-naked choke.
“CM Punk’s” UFC debut can be viewed in the video above. However, will the WWE superstar’s small stint in the UFC be something of note in the years to come?
