On Thursday, the open workouts for UFC 215 took place in Canada.
UFC 215 will take place Saturday, September 9 at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
In the main event, UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes will defend her title against top contender Valentina Shevchenko.
The two elite female fighters will be competing in a rematch from their battle in 2016. At UFC 196, Nunes earned a decision win against Shevchenko and earned a shot at the UFC title. Since that fight, both women have won twice inside the Octagon and will now meet once again.

UFC 215 was originally going to be headlined by UFC Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson defending his title against Ray Borg. But less than two day before the event, Borg was forced to withdraw from the fight due to illness. As a result, Nunes vs. Shevchenko was promoted to the main event.
