The next UFC Fight Night in Brazil has lost one of its marquee fights.
Former UFC title challenger Glover Teixeira will no longer fight light heavyweight contender Misha Cirkunov on Oct. 28 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
On Tuesday, the UFC announced that Teixeira will now fight Circunov at a UFC on FOX event in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on Dec. 16.
The UFC Fight Night in Brazil will be headlined by former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Lyoto Machida’s return to the Octagon. He is scheduled to fight Derek Brunson in a pivotal fight in the middleweight division. The event will also feature a welterweight battle between former title challenger Demian Maia and Colby Covington.
The UFC has yet to announce who will fight in the main event in Winnipeg.
Teixeira is currently coming off a knockout loss to Alexander Gustafsson back in May. Cirkunov is also coming off a knockout loss to Volkan Oezdemir on the same night.
