UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor is leaving the world on pins and needles while he decides on his next move.
So far we’ve heard of fights against Nate Diaz, Paul Malignaggi, Canelo Alvarez and now Tony Ferguson. You add that to this week’s rumors of him making a WWE run and there’s just no telling what Conor is up to.
UFC’s interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson is ready for McGregor right now, and that was very evident after he defeated Kevin Lee at UFC 216.
“Look, Conor watches the fights. This dude didn’t say sh*t.” Ferguson said on Monday’s edition of The MMA Hour. “He didn’t say sh*t on Twitter. He didn’t even comment saying ‘good fight.’ He said he was looking forward to watching this fight, he hasn’t said nothing. The boy is scared. He’s running. I told him, just set the belt down and walk away and nobody will get hurt, that’s all you’ve got to do – just set it down and you won’t get ass kicked, I swear, by another Mexican. This is a tough fight for him, man, and I don’t think that he’s got enough cornermen in the world to try to help him on this one.”
A lot of your hardcore MMA fans will argue that McGregor needs to defend his belt. That would be him against last week’s interim title holder Tony Ferguson.
If you are one who entertains conspiracies, this animated story about the Conor McGregor vs. Tony Ferguson fight is pretty good.
