Colby Covington managed to anger quite a large crowd when he referred to Brazil as a “dump” and Brazilians as “filthy animals” after his victory over Demian Maia at UFC Fight Night 119. Among them American Top Team member Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva, teammate to Covington, had quite a few choice words for the fighter over social media.
Taking to Instagram, Silva had the following the say:
“Colby you are an anti professional and dirty person, I’ll show you how to respect my country and my people. Colby trains in my team, ATT, but he was a son of a b**** for speaking bad things against Brazilians because he trains with Brazilians, and respect is everything in a human being’s life.”
Responding to a fan over Twitter, Silva later added (translated):
“Sad that they only threw plastic cups after the guy humiliated out country. He should have gone straight to hospital.”
Triste? Triste é terem apenas arremessado copos de plásticos depois do cara humilhar nosso país. Ele era pra ter saído direto p/ o hospital https://t.co/DUSdjnS14o

While Covington walked away with a win in Sao Paulo, Brazil, it would appear that the fighter has not made friends along the way.
