Former UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre has gone on the record to say that he believes in UFOs and alien encounters. On the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Georges St. Pierre explained that there are moments where he has gaps of missing time that may be caused by alien encounters. Well, at today’s UFC 217 pre-fight press conference, Michael Bisping decided to hit Georges St-Pierre with a heated comment concerning his beliefs.
Former welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre has been retired from mixed martial arts for nearly four years. Now the former champion is making a return to the octagon at a new division. For his UFC return, Georges St-Pierre will be taking on UFC middleweight champion Michael “The Count” Bisping in the pay-per-view main event for UFC 217.
UFC 217 won’t go down until Nov. 4, but the pre-fight press conference took place today. During the conference, Michael Bisping decided to take a verbal jab at Georges St-Pierre for his tough fight against Johny Hendricks.
Speaking on Georges St-Pierre’s retirement from MMA after defeating Johny Hendricks by decision, Michael Bisping said:
“He didn’t want to fight, because Johny Hendricks hit himself in the head so many times that he thinks he was abducted by Aliens.”
“Rush” faced off against Johny Hendricks back at UFC 167 in 2013, beating Hendricks by decision after a tough battle. Now Georges St-Pierre will be headlining UFC 217 on Nov. 4 inside the Madison Square Garden Arena in New York, live on pay-per-view.
