Bisping: ‘The UFC wants GSP to beat me, beat Woodley, then fight Conor McGregor’

<

UFC middleweight champion Michael “The Count” Bisping has a theory about what the UFC might hope to set up off of him losing the title to GSP.

“The Count” believes that GSP is looking to count up some titles and make a three-division run, and it all starts with him.

Taking to his own podcast, Bisping stated, “Here’s Georges’ plan. He keeps talking about, ‘It’s in the contract. I’ll fight Whittaker’.

“He ain’t going to fight Whittaker. It doesn’t matter if it’s in the contract or not. I believe it is in the contract.

“But, all he’s got to do is say, ‘I don’t fancy that. If you want me to fight again and sell a lot of pay-per-views, it’s got to be someone else.’

“And the UFC would fold. I would imagine.

“He wants to beat me and go down and beat Tyron. Then beat McGregor and then retire. He wants to beat all three.

“And the UFC probably wants that to happen.”
